Magnetic chucks represent a modern method of clamping ferromagnetic workpieces during machining. Compared to mechanical clamps, they enable quick clamping and unclamping of the part, free access to the workpiece from multiple sides, and minimize deformation caused by clamping forces.
Thanks to the even distribution of clamping force, they increase production productivity, shorten setup times, and facilitate machining of complex shapes.
One of our most popular chucks is the variable electro-permanent magnetic chuck Mastermill, which is suitable for milling and drilling. An excellent helper designed for turning and grinding workpieces, mostly circular in shape, is the permanent chuck Neostar, which, thanks to its double neodymium magnetic system, has a clamping force of up to 140 N/cm2.
Detailed description:
These laminated blocks are made of a magnetically highly conductive material. They are composed of a combination of steel and brass laminations. For grinding, they are placed on the top pole plate of the magnetic chuck and after its activation, magnetic flux can enter freely into the workpiece. The blocks have a very stable construction, whereas individual laminations are not joined with bolts or screws. This allows modification of these laminated blocks according to individual customer requirements.

Fixed pole extensions are a useful and inexpensive tool in small-scale production when you need to raise the workpiece so that you can machine it from 5 sides or drill it without causing damage to the chuck.
You will obtain higher production efficiency while maintaining maximum holding force. You eliminate undesirable air gaps at the same time.
Installation or re-arrangement of the extensions is easily done with a screw.

Flexible pole extensions are able to eliminate irregularities up to 5 mm in size. They make it possible to obtain workpiece flatness without the necessity of using complex bedding. They must be combined with at least 3 fixed pole extensions to create a supporting plane for the workpiece.
By using flexible pole extensions, machining efficiency is increased because you can carry out several operations at the same time thanks to the accessibility from 5 sides. Installation or re-arrangement of the extensions on the work surface of the chuck is easily done with screws.
