Alustar is a magnetic chuck suitable primarily for turning, but also for cylindrical grinding. It has a lightweight aluminum construction that does not burden the machine tool like other magnetic chucks, and therefore can handle a wider weight range of machined components. It has a clamping force of up to 140 N/cm² and the ability to continuously regulate the clamping force simplifies workpiece centering.
